This map was a quick conversion of fy_icecaverns from CS:S into DoD:S. During DoD:S' first week of release. I grew tired of dying over and over so I figured I'd ask tundra_cool if I could borrow the source file to his iceworld map to covert to Day of Defeat: Source (and because the SDK didnt include any fgd to allow easy creation of DoD:S maps, it was one of the first custom maps).

A few hours later, dod_icecaverns was born. It proved to be popular, spanning multiple servers with upwards of 40+ people in a single one at one point, but I never expected it. I guess because of the small filesize and the classic iceworld layout/gameplay, people enjoyed it. Its mindless fun for a few minutes (or a few hours if you're that into it).

Recomended Players: 6-40 Maximum: 64

The godrays are vol_light models. For the Left 4 Dead version I desaturated the texture then changed the prop_static color FX.

Occlusion:

Your Bank map is spectacular, especially for such a short timespan. How did you get the lightrays?
