This is a map I created on dodgy tools for the Counter-Strike: Source open beta as soon as it was released. It's still somewhat very popular and it put an end to my thoughts on how a really crappy-looking, poorly-designed level could top the podium -- even if it were for a weekend... It was there first.

I get Google alert e-mails, to this day, about some Download.com subsidiary hosting this map from some company profile for 'tundra_cool' or whatever.

The godrays are vol_light models. For the Left 4 Dead version I desaturated the texture then changed the prop_static color FX.

Occlusion:

Your Bank map is spectacular, especially for such a short timespan. How did you get the lightrays?
